With so much "stuff" going around right now....colds, flu, etc...I wanted to share a recipe that many in my family would enjoy when they had colds, sore throats etc..... I think even Doc Holm would like this one as it's all natural. Well...maybe he wouldn't be overly enthused with the whole milk and cream.... But, Grandma thought whole milk, cream and fresh fruit were great "natural healers"...and this sherbet meets that requirement. It sure felt good on a sore throat. Kim Ode...originally from SD...and now writing for the Mpls. Trib. has a book called...Baking with the St. Paul Bread Club. Kim was in Brookings in 2008 and put on a baking class with Kari Graven at Hy Vee....One of the recipes that Mary and I have made are the Jalapeno Bread Sticks....a recipe that comes from David Cargo.
